Chris Willer
B.Ed MD FRCPC
Dr. Chris Willer graduated from the University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine in 2007 after a career as a secondary school teacher in Toronto. He completed his residency training at the University of Toronto Psychiatry Residency program in 2012. He has been a staff psychiatrist at St. Michael’s Hospital, Unity Health Toronto since then supporting learners. He completed the Education Scholar’s Program through The Centre for Faculty Development at Unity Health Toronto and the University of Toronto’s Temerty Faculty of Medicine in 2016-2018 with an emphasis on both the learner in need and the supervisor in need. Over the past nine years, Dr. Willer has greatly enjoyed working with post-graduate learners in his role as Site Director, Psychiatry at St. Michael’s Hospital. He is excited to have the great opportunity next to help medical students achieve their academic and personal goals in the role of Faculty Lead, Academic Support in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine.
